The Board of Directors, composed of ageing services leaders from across the globe, is responsible for the governance of the Association, providing strategic direction, fiduciary oversight, and development of policies.

Committees & Networks
Six committees provide leadership and vision for implementation of IAHSA programmes and services. Committees are composed of IAHSA members from around the world, ensuring global representation of issues and ideas.

Awards
Oversees the annual IAHSA Excellence in Ageing Services Award. The award recognizes IAHSA members for programmes and services that are models of innovation and excellence and that contribute significantly to the quality of life of the individuals served.
Conference Planning
Provides direction for the planning of the IAHSA Biennial International Conference. The 7th International Conference will take place 18-20 June 2007 in St. Julian's, Malta.
European Committee & Network:
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of a strong IAHSA network in Europe through identification and recruitment of new members and provider organizations.
Major initiatives in 2007 include: Implementation of the IAHSA Eastern European Plan; and development of the program for the 2nd IAHSA European Conference in 2008.
Industry Partner
Develops and implements strategies for creation of partnership opportunities with industry members, to increase their involvement in IAHSA programs to help fulfill the mission of IAHSA.
International Relations
Fosters collaborative relationships with the international ageing community, including development and implementation of programs at the United Nations.
Long Term Care Workforce
Determination of scope and direction of research and shared learning activity on long term care workforce issues
