History of IAHSA

IAHSA was founded in 1994 by a group of visionary ageing services leaders from across the globe who realized that the global ageing crisis would have a profound impact on care for the elderly.

Their vision was to create a platform for policymakers, researchers, business and ageing services providers to collectively share their knowledge and best practices to enhance quality of care for the elderly.

IAHSA provides an international forum for the exchange of research, services, products and training that benefit ageing services providers and the people they serve.

During its decade of global ageing leadership, IAHSA has conducted six international conferences, developed an international research agenda and become recognized across the globe as the only international organization representing ageing services providers.
